The Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) invites applications from suitably qualified nationals of the Caribbean Community to fill the position of Finance Officer with assigned duty station at its headquarters in Barbados.
The ideal applicant will possess a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CGA) and at least five (5) years of experience in financial accounting with at least two of these years post-qualification. Experience in supervision of staff and preparation of financial statements is essential. Experience in maintaining effective financial records systems is also essential. Experience in operating integrated computerized accounting systems is a significant asset as is experience in managing accounts for donor-funded projects.
This position is open to citizens and permanent residents of Barbados as well as persons who hold or are qualified to obtain CARICOM Skilled National Certificates under the provisions for Free Movement of CARICOM Nationals of the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas. Applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents at the duty station are asked to note that this is a “local hire” position. Consequently, while CARICAD will facilitate administrative arrangements with respect to re-location to Barbados, the successful candidate shall be required to cover all costs of such re-location including payment of airfares and shipping of personal effects if necessary.
